(Jewishvirtuallibrary.org) Much larger countries like Mexico for example, are hardly heard from. Even China, with its population of over 1.3 billion has only recently gained recognition in the world news. The world seems to think that if Israel would just go along with the West and let the Palestinians have their state at any cost, the world would finally be at peace. But Israel knows from experience that any weakening of its defenses can lead to a national catastrophe, and they are not about to do it, at least not without a fight.
